GROOMING
CATS AND DOGS/ PROCEDURES
Before bathing, make
sure that you have removed all of the mats from the cat/dog
with the aid of a comb.
Shampoo should always be diluted prior
to use.
The dilution should be done just before the bath and
should be adapted to the coat texture. However, for more
greasy parts such as the tail, especially for males, the
inside of the thighs, the inside of the ears and area
surrounding them, you can use the shampoo in concentrated
form on the coat that has been wetted prior to
application. This shampoo has amazing degreasing
properties. It is therefore not necessary to use a
degreasing product prior to using this shampoo.
In general, you should use 1 part of shampoo for every 6
parts of water.
The green clay shampoo
can be used on all coat colors as well as on all coat
lengths.
The White (white clay shampoo) is
more appropriate for light colored coats, such as: white,
dilute, blue, cream, color point, silver, and chinchilla
colors in cats as well as Coton de Tuléar, Bichons etc.
dogs. The dilution should be 1 part of shampoo for every
4 to 6 parts of water.
For grooming of Persians, you can dilute the shampoo up
to 1 part for every 10 parts of water.
USE:
Apply the shampoo, previously diluted in lukewarm water,
as indicated above. Massage it into coat by working the
coat between your fingers. Rinse well and repeat
shampooing.
Rinse thoroughly with
lukewarm water.
Remove the excess water with your hands and then use 2 to
3 big towels to sponge off the rest of the water. Drying
should be done with a dryer (high flow and moderate heat)
until the coat is perfectly dry.
You can use Balsamo
(a repairing and restructuring balm) after shampooing. It
should be diluted in 10 parts of lukewarm water. Apply
the diluted balm and let it stand for 3 minutes, then
rinse thoroughly. This balm maintains and disentangles
the coat, preventing it from drying. It also provides an
anti-static effect.
For show grooming (for
cats) it is better not to use the balm as it can flatten
the coat.
This repairing balm is essential for longhair dogs and it
should be diluted according to coat quality and density.
For show grooming only, the Final Touch Brill
spray conditioner will provide extra
volume and an amazing finishing touch to your grooming.
